Does Hypnosis really work?

A 2006 Comparative Study between Psychoanalysis, Behavior Therapy and Hypnosis found the following results:

  • Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
  • Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
  • Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions

There are many scientific studies that have confirmed the effectiveness of hypnosis and many medical professionals like Dentists have studied hypnosis to aid them in their Dental practices.

What does it feel like to be hypnotized?

Most people have experienced some form of hypnosis in our everyday lives. For example, Have you ever driven somewhere and you can’t remember driving there? Or have you ever been totally engrossed in a book or movie and lost all track of time or didn’t hear someone calling your name? During those times, you were probably experiencing a light state of hypnosis.

When working with a professional hypnotist, most people will experience a hypnosis session to be much like a deeply relaxed state with an elevated sense of awareness.

Who can be hypnotized?

Generally speaking most people can be hypnotized. Anyone who is of average intelligence, capable of concentrating and who can use their imagination will make an excellent hypnotic subject.

How many sessions do I need?

The techniques and methods we incorporate at The Hypnosis & Wellness Training Center are targeted to your needs. Most people only need on average of 1-3 sessions for a specific issue. Some people like the process so much they choose to continue and work on other things.
